ARVAC Head Start/Early Head Start Facility Closure

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (March 15, 2020) –  The Governor of Arkansas is mandating all schools to shut down beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020 until the end of spring break. Classes will resume after spring break on March 30, 2020.

All ARVAC Head Start and Early Head Start Centers will be open on Monday, March 16th. Parents and families will receive AMI (alternative method of instruction) packets with instructions on continuing our education curriculum at home. The Governor has recommended no social gatherings. We strongly urge our families and communities to take precautionary measures to avoid high risk areas (high in population).

At this time, our Corporate Headquarters Office and community program facilities will remain open and working under our emergency response plan until further notice. Any future closures or facility shutdowns will be announced.

Our staff, program participants, children, and communities are our top priority. Regular updates can be found on our Facebook.
