How do I apply for the childcare program?
Simply fill out the application and bring it to a center location.
What hours do the outreach centers take applications?
The outreach centers take applications Monday-Friday from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, and from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
When and where is the foodbank? What do I need to bring with me?
The food bank is located at 504 Union Street, Dardanelle, AR. However, the food bank is only open to those participating in the TEFAP or CSFP programs.

Do you allow smoking in your facility?
We are a non-smoking campus but we do allow smoking on an off-campus site.
What do I need to bring for residential?
We have a full list available of all of the items required for intake process (ID, SS Card, Proof of Income, Insurance Card) please contact admissions for entire list.
Can I bring my instrument/art utensils/etc?
Of course, but do note we are not responsible for anything that may be broken, stolen, or lost while you are in the program.
Am I allowed to bring my medications?
Yes, it is a requirement that any medications you take you must bring a full dosage that will last you your entire stay. The only medications not allowed on campus are Narcotics.
Am I allowed to bring/use my phone/tablet/etc in residential?
You may bring your phone, however it is not allowed to be used while in the residential program and it will be confiscated and secured in a safe location until you discharge from the residential program.
Do you accept couples?
No, there is no fraternization allowed on campus.
Do you provide snacks/soda?
We do have snacks available throughout the day for medical necessity, though we do not provide anything other than water and tea during meal times. You may buy specific snacks/soda from the Health and Safety Coordinator.
How long is your program?
30-45 days based on counselor discretion.
Are you allowed to leave campus?
Any off campus privileges have to be approved by your counselor and COO. Some occasions that can be allowed: Doctor appointments, court dates, family deaths, etc.
Am I allowed to make phone calls or have visitations?
Clients are allowed two 15-minute phone calls a week after 7 days of being in residential, and visitations are on Fridays at 3pm after 15 days being in residential.
Are clients allowed to attend outside NA/AA meetings?
Yes, this is a privilege that is worked into our program and we facility transportation to and from meetings on assigned days.
Do you have transitional living or housing assistance?
We do and there is an application process for all of these things. If you are in residential you can discuss with your counselor options for this.
Do you accept medicaid/medicare?
We do not.
What insurance do you accept?
Most private insurances i.e. BCBS, Qualchoice, Ambetter, Aetna, etc.

What do I neeed to bring?
- ID
- Electric Bill
- Proof of income for the prior month
- All energy income
When do you take applications?
- January 1 - March 31 (Winter)
- July 1 - September 30 (Summer)
*Summer applications are for Electric only, however we still need the gass bill in order to process.
Your office is always closed. What are your office hours?
Applications are taken between 9-11am and 1-2pm. Please visit our Locations page to see what days of the week your local office is open.
Why don't you answer your phone?
When a client is in the office, it is respectful for the person taking the application, and it also avoids HIPAA violations.
If I don't have an income, what do I do?
Please contact your local ARVAC office for a zero income form.

What do I need to bring?
- ID of every adult
- Social Security Card of everyone in the house
- Birth Certificates of all children
- Proof of income
- Eviction notice
How long is the waiting list?
It depends on the circumstances. The list changes all the time and the outreach staff doesn't have access to it.
How long after inspection do I get my place?
After the landlord receives the check.
What does the program provide?
The needed deposite and three months of intense casework.
CSFP
What do I need to bring?
- ID
- Verbally declare income but if questioned you will be required to provide proof
- If you don't show up on CSFP day you may forfeit your bag
How old do you have to be to qualify for the program?
60 or older
Are there income guidelines?
Yes. Please call your local ARVAC office for information on income.
Can I be removed from the program?
Yes, if income is over the guidelines, you miss three months in a row, or you asked to be removed.
When do you issue CSFP?
Monthly. Contact your local ARVAC office to sign up and for issue dates.
TEFAP
What do I need to bring/know?
- ID. For other options, please your local ARVAC office.
- You will be required to verbally declare your household income. If questioned, you may be required to provide proof.
- Most pick up in the county they live in.
- You must be there the day of issue to receive commodities.
